RSVP comes from the French „Répondez s'il vous plaît“ - „Please reply“. In a wedding invitation it is the request for guests to confirm whether they are coming and with how many people. In an online invitation it is a button: the guest presses „Confirm your attendance“, fills in the form and the reply comes to you.
How guests confirm their attendance
The guest opens the invitation, reaches the RSVP section and writes their name. They choose „Yes, I will be there“ or „Sorry, I can't make it“, say how many people are coming and choose a dish for each of them. At the end they can leave a message for the couple.
RSVP with menu and allergies
For every guest there is a choice of starter, main course and dessert, a „Child“ tick and a field for allergies or special diets. That way the venue gets the exact numbers without you calling anyone.
Where you see the replies
In the invitation editor there is a „Replies from guests“ board: how many are coming, how many guests in total, who has declined and how many portions of each dish were chosen. Each reply is shown with the guest's name, and the table can be downloaded as Excel for the venue.

Can a guest change their reply?
Yes. If someone changes their mind, they can send the reply again or write to you, and you edit or delete the entry in the editor with one tap.
What RSVP deadline should we set?
The deadline is best set 3 to 4 weeks before the wedding - exactly when the venue asks for the final numbers. The deadline is written above the form, and the guests who have not replied are easy to spot in the list.
